Tudor Renovation, Piedmont
Our clients, a young family, were seeking to update the first floor of their traditional Tudor home. With the wife’s preference for traditional elements and the husband, a gourmet cook, favoring a modern touch, our task was to merge these styles seamlessly.
Guided by a focus on functionality and comfort, we collaborated with the client's architect. We opened up the kitchen space by removing walls, making room for a functional island. A custom steel hood, a major element in this space, stands as a focal point in this kitchen,
Continuing the transformation, we revamped the entryway, adding a handy mudroom off the kitchen. The entry now features a checkered marble floor that complements the Carrera marble in the kitchen counters and backsplash.
Blending the couple’s different tastes, we opted for a playful wallpaper in the powder room, and selected finishes in calming blues, neutrals and grays, creating a space that truly reflects both their personalities.
