I’ve always been inspired by the impact of beauty on human consciousness.

Growing up in an artistic family, I spent weekends at antique stores, studied painting from a young age, and started redesigning my own spaces in high school. 

I pursued architecture at the University of Michigan because it offered a practical aesthetic expression. I was influenced not just by early travels in Europe and Central America, but also by beautiful older buildings I walked by every day. As long as I can remember, I’ve loved traditional detailing and vernacular styles of American residential architecture.

For years, I considered interior design more of a personal pursuit but, eventually realized interior design could encompass what I loved most: history, art, and architecture.

This revelation inspired my return to school for interior design and architecture at UC Berkeley. After a few years of working with small firms in San Francisco, Kelley Flynn Interior Design was born. 

My background in architectural styles acted as my foundation, supporting my love of balancing eclectic elements and creating personalized spaces.

Almost two decades later, my goal for your home remains: To create an environment that captures and uplifts the people living there.
