For the 2013 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, the setting was an iconic Georgian mansion. Our challenge consisted of designing a powder room nestled right off a large party room and bar on the top floor, boasting sweeping views of the Bay. We aimed for a space that seamlessly merged luxury with whimsy.

Drawing upon custom elements, we covered the walls with a unique pleated fabric treatment. This stylized fern motif fabric, finely woven in cotton and silk, presented a dramatic graphic diamond pattern. Staying within a classic color palette of black, cream, and metallic tones, we introduced a mosaic marble floor for added sophistication. Above, a "princely" light fixture illuminated the space, reflecting off the custom wall-hung table and its hand-fabricated, gilded light fixture.
